CC Barnard (Nee Nelson), in Paynesville, Liberia, West Africa, she is a product of the youth choir of Effort Baptist Church., Weaver Street, Paynesville City. CC began composing songs and writing poems in her early teen years. Her first original composition, Million Roses for Mama, was performed for a Mothers' Day service at the Effort Baptist Church in 1987. Since then, CC has composed more than 75 songs, poems and short essays.
CC received music lessons at the Maude Dennis School of Music, The Agnes Gasu Music School, Georgia Payne Cooper Music and Mr. Walter Moore.
She has produced five musical Albums:Give God the Praise, One Way Ticket To Monrovia, God Sends Angels, Round Trip Ticket To Liberia, and Liberia is Rising Again, DVD. She release her first song book "Great Liberian Anthems and Folk Songs - Book One" in October of 2011.
She has her masters degree in Accounting and resides in the Washington, DC Metro Area with her husband Johnny and children, Korpo, Mongah and Toye.
